New Year Tale For Foreign Students Main Content

December the 23rd was the final day of classes – credit session was ahead, though! – for students studying Russian language at the preparatory department of RTC. The end of a difficult, tense term was marked by a visit to the Bashkir state opera and ballet theatre to watch the ballet “Cinderella”. It was the first time the foreign students had visited the main national theater of Ufa. Beauty of the ancient building, holiday atmosphere, a high solemnly adorned New Year tree, shining of enormous chandeliers, baroque stairs, the cascade hall, and the orchestra pit fascinated our students. The exposition dedicated to Rudolf Nureyev and other famous ballet dancers evoked sincere interest. A delicate, graceful form of the performance truly impressed our students: “This is excellent! I am happy!” Alexander Kamacho, a student from Colombia, said. “Russian ballet – is a pure magic!” Matrin Rojas from Peru commented the ballet.

A joint visit to the theater gave the foreign students opportunity to get acquainted with Russian high art and – that is particularly important – to communicate a lot, to share impressions, to learn discussing, and, that is equally important, to take nice pictures to send relatives on the very New Year’s eve.
